How did this doctor accurately predict Tiger Woods and Roger Federer’s past injuries?

Predicting who gets lower back pain and why may be easier and more predictable than previously thought. Tiger Wood’s and Roger Federer’s past injuries may have a common cause that is predictable if you knew what to look for.  The way health care providers are taught to look at, diagnose and treat back pain is based on the symptoms and evaluation of the lower back.   The problem is, back pain is caused by movement, body mechanics, and how we adapt over many years. Without having this understanding while evaluating a back pain patient, healthcare practitioners are missing out on why you actually hurt rather than where.

In 2011, I published Cheating Mother  Nature, out of frustration because so many people were failing to improve after submitting to treatments offered by mainstream healthcare providers for chronic painful conditions such as back, neck, shoulder, knee, wrist, elbow and foot problems.  Some had surgeries after they took medications for years to relieve pain, only to find out that the cause of their pain destroyed joints in their bodies.

A huge part of the problem is reductionist thinking by doctors who learn about parts of the body and fail to consider how they integrate together.   One mechanical problem in your feet can cause years of chronic pain in your body, but you would never know it by looking at the painful area.  Most tests doctors order are negative or show a history of degeneration, rather than the cause.  To adequately understand why we hurt, we must evaluate holistically and the video below explains why.

Today, we have an opioid crisis that is due to a lack of understanding of what pain is, both from a healthcare provider’s and a patient’s point of view.  Chronic pain is often mechanical in nature, but since most healthcare providers have a poor understanding of why their patients hurt, they began to offer medication to relieve the pain years ago.

This had led to great businesses that replace joints that are damaged by years of neglect at a huge cost to our society.  The joint replacements are not the same as the original and will also wear out.   Is there a better way to age?

Cheating Mother Nature is a game-changer for anyone suffering from chronic pain because it explains why we hurt and how the way we move and function is mostly responsible, yet we are unaware that genetics and the way we are built is largely responsible.

The good news is, you can do something about it and if your parents suffered because they did not understand why they hurt, you do not have to follow in their footsteps and neither do your children.

I was able to predict Tiger Woods and Rodger Federer would have future injuries based on their body styles, which were evaluated from freely available photos on the internet.  Recently, I also did a blog on Lady Gaga who has similar traits, using the explanations from the book.

The truth is, we are all different and one size does not fit all.   Unfortunately, medication treats us as if pain has no cause, is just a pain and it can go away with just taking a pill.   Unfortunately, this has caused many of us to suffer greatly as we ignore our body that is in pain for a reason. Pain is our body’s way of talking to us and making us aware that something is not right.
